There have been innumerable charity events before George Harrison’s "Concert for Bangladesh", but this show marks the first time on record that superstars gathered together for a specific concert event in order raise money and awareness for a specific cause.
In its wake, there have since been innumerable concert events involving all sorts of superstars for all sorts of causes, but here is where the consciousness of using rock and roll celebrity for charity began to take a major turn toward recognizing its full potential.
